Hello! I would consider myself a people person, I enjoy helping other! The reason I became a caregiver was due to my grandma needing physical assistance. I wanted to be able to assistance her and other people as well who didn't have access with someone with those qualifications. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is providing a service for a client and being able to help them.

Hi I'm Kristi and I'm a social worker who enjoys caring for others. I love animals and my flower garden.

I went CNA and HHA class to take care of my aligning grandparents. After they passed away I used them to get thru Social Work school. After getting my degree and working a couple years in social work I know it wasn't for me. I found a job that need my aide and got a job as a para at school. When my kids I work with for five years moved I went back to get my CMA, I have been a med aide for 4 years. I now want to go back to school LPN and to do that I need something that is more flexible and to keep people in their home as always been my goal. My personal achievement that I'm the most proud of is my two loving kids, and I've been married to my high school sweet heart for 21 years. I'm a very hard working, and I tend to be a perfectionist. I think God every day for the blessings I have in my life.

I am a caregiver because it is something I have found to unexpectedly be meant to do in life. I have an understanding of what it is for a family to endure this stage in a loved ones life and I am here not sure because it's my job but because I can make this time less stressful. I want only for a family to be able to take in these moments because it's important. I view my pay as compensation for my time. I cook and I clean and I communicate. I am detail oriented and open minded to every families individuality. I am always going to be coming up with things to do and am naturally creative. I have experience with dementia patient care and all that that comes along with it. I am capable of transfers and know how to utilize a gait belt. I can assist with bathing toileting medication reminders laundry running errands following diet restrictions in meal prep health monitoring following a care plan and communication with doctor patient and family members if requested. I am a solid emotional support base and stable companion. I genuinely care for people. I practice strict covid quarantine precautions to keep my patients safe and am on the list for a vaccine during stage two. I am an enthusiastic, big hearted, 22 year old. I enjoy caring for people and providing companionship as well. I never grew up around family and to me the people I care for become family and I treat them as such. If I would not want my parents, grandparents etc. treated a certain way I can assure you I will not do that to yours. I love the connection and the opportunity it gives me to give back to the community. I know people are very busy and can not always provide the time or care for their elderly and/or disabled loved ones and that is why I have gone into this field to provide the assistance needed for families to help alleviate some stress and worry. I am hard working, honest, polite, and will do my best to provide what you want and expect from me as a caregiver. A personal achievement that I am proud of would have to be the connection I made with a family when I first started this career. It's an experience that keeps me going even when I get discouraged with school and such..... I bonded with an elderly gentleman I took care of and his family. Sadly he was the first death I experienced and I took it hard. His family made a point to come visit me at work and invite me to his funeral. They wanted to also let me know how much they appreciated how I took care of their father and gave me such an amazing feeling and to this day it helps me always remember WHY I do this and all the good that comes from what I do as a caregiver
