Hello, my name is April Mckissack and have been in the healthcare field for over 20 + years now and love what I do , so now I'm taking a different approach and starting to work as a caregiver I enjoy giving services to our seniors because they really need it more in today times .

I am a hard dedicated worker and a very friendly person. I was a CNA for over 15 years and love helping the elderly with their daily needs.

My dad was a 32 year retired military officer and a Green Beret. For 7 years, until his passing, I was responsible for all aspects of daily care. Included were meals, medication allocation, diabetes testing, transportation, (unfortunately he spent 5 years in a wheelchair) applications for making the home safe, wound care due to 4 major surgeries (some surgeries related to purple hearts from decades ago) dozens of minor surgeries due to agent orange/cancer, hygiene, house keeping, physical therapy, Dementia, Alzheimer's, depression, monitored vital sign, bed making, received physician's order, coordinated with hospital, physicians and physical therapist for monthly checks, perform first aide, kept him socially engaged by going to outside events i.e. restaurants, ball games, events and activities. Hello, I'm Jessica. I'm a caregiver (TNA from ACAHNCAL) currently working on my CNA Certification. I answered the call and became a professional caregiver during the quarantine. I had been a family caregiver to two members previously and all together, I have 10 years experience. Ive been told I have a servants heart and find I am happiest when making others satisfied. One of the things I enjoy the most about caregiving is hearing stories firsthand. Listening is one of my strong suits because I'm always interested in what some else knows or has done. I became a CAREGIVER because I have a natural instinct to help others. I feel that it's a "Calling". And I thoroughly enjoy working with the elderly, and hearing their stores. A personal achievement that I am proud of is being recognized with a Heart N Hands Award for my service to my elderly clients. I moved from California to Tennessee in 2003. After working in a Distribution Center for almost 2 years, I became a CAREGIVER and have been employed as such for over 10 years. I have an outgoing personality and get along well with others. I'm a Single Mother, and Being that My patients are my Happy! I enjoy caregiving the Most! I always lived with my Gma until she passed in 2018! If pancreatic Cancer she was the love of my life! She was also Hospice at home! I cared for her every need until she was gone from me!
