I'm a great caregiver because I love my clients like family. The reason for me becoming a caregiver was to help elderly, I cared for my grandma for years before her passing, most elderly ladies remind me of her and it makes me smile . The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the joy that some clients have , just having someone there to care for them brings joy. I know it's not always easy to have a job + family and care for your elderly parents . I'm here to help

I have always been a compassionate person to others, helping where I can, assisting my elderly neighbors as I was growing up, but never realizing it was a name for this and it's called Caregiving. I became a Private Duty Caregiver after a family member became very sick, and there was no one who was willing to assist her. I liked the idea of helping her, meal prepping, making sure she had what she needed to function on day to day basis. Even when she had to go into a facility I was there for her until the very end. I like knowing that I am bringing a smile or some form of hope to a person's day. My personality is like no other, whatever it takes to offer a glimmer of hope ie dancing, singing, reading, preparing a meal with love or simply something simple as taking an interest in them and learning who they are, or who they were brings me joy as well as them. I love listening to their stories I refer to some of my clients as "Living History". I am a mother to 2 college graduates. When I saw my daughter walk across the stage to get her Master's I realized I gave both my children all that I had in me as a single mom. My Greatest Achievement was going back to school and obtaining an AA in Human Services. I was given up for adoption at birth and I had wonderful Foster parents and I always said I wanted to give back what was given to me. By becoming a Care Companion I cannot think of a better way to give to others what was so freely and lovingly given to me. Time, Compassion, Morals. Consideration, Empathy & Love.

I am outgoing, energetic, and full of compassion. I give 110% in all I do. I became a caregiver at the age of 15 when my neighbor fell ill and I've loved it and have been doing it ever since.

I am a dedicated worker, I believe in treating everyone the way you would want to be treated. I've been a Cna for 8 yrs and I just enjoy what I do. The patient's need are my first priority and I do my best to make sure I've made a difference each day I work.

I have enjoyed my job and helping other for over 20yrs.I treat others love ones as I would my own.It is hard to be able to trust your love ones with someone else.So I try to reassure them that their family are in good hands.God had Blessed me to continue to do the work that I love.And going to do my best.

What attracted me to being an caregiver is I have always care for the elderly. You will always learn something new from them. A lot of the elderly don't have family or people that can come visit them. I love to sit and talk with them and to listen to them. It's things that they can longer do for themselves and I feel so helpful when I can help them with what they just can't do anymore.

I am an APRN currently taking a break from Nursing to spend time with family. My daughter is a freshman at Louisiana Tech and I am married. I enjoy nature, reading, watching documentaries, family, (people in general), animals, and mowing the yard. I love to help people whether it's just spending time with them to building a fire in the fireplace or assisting with dressing. It makes me feel like I am helping serve my Lord.

I love to help others that's my passion. I know be a good caregiver worried about my patient well being. I love spending time with my patient.

When I first became a caregiver I was 18 years old and now I'm 21. I have learned so much and I am so proud of myself because I did something that caused me to step out my comfort zone. I enjoy seeing the smiles and talking to the consumers, the stories they tell are just so heart warming. I first became a caregiver because I thought it was a easy job but now it's so much more it's good for them the consumers to know that they have a listening ear and someone they can call on. The things that help me be a great caregiver is that I'm always on time, I'm always right beside the consumer, I'm always there to take care and no one will ever have to worry about anything happening. I've omg been doing this for two year but in those two year I've learned so much and I'm ready to learn more. I am CPR certified, I know what to if someone is have a seizure, and I know if someone has had a stroke.
