I am a healthy, active, strong 47 year old woman. I have worked in an assisged living facility, a hospital, and a rehab facility. I have also done a lot of private duty. My longest assignment was caring for a quadriplegic man. I have raised three daughters, so I understand children as well.
I really enjoy working in a home environment, I understand personal space with clients, knowing when to be helpful but to also step away. I've always been very trustworthy and a good team player. Communication and a sense of humor is a big part of caregiving to me. I enjoy listening to clients and what they have done in their lives. My biggest personal achievement was taking care of my mother when she was failing, and being with her when she passed away.
Hello! I'm currently looking for a part-time position caring for older adults. I have seventeen years of experience in the medical field working in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and OB/GYN doctor's offices. Some of my skills include CPR, basic first aid, patient care, and measurements of blood pressures and vital signs. I am caring, compassionate, and have a friendly bedside manner. I enjoy working with people to improve their mental and physical health; to help them achieve their goals for a healthy lifestyle and the care they need. I find people to be very interesting, but more so elderly people who have already lived and done so much in their lives. I take pride in the accomplishments I have achieved over the past seventeen years as a Medical Assistant while working in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and OB/GYN. During my most recent job, I ran a team with thirteen providers, providing them with administrative and medical assistance. I also trained my co-workers who were interested in doing GYN, skin lesion and cyst removal procedures.
I have always had a compassionate and caring personality, even in my group of close friends, I was known as the "Mom" figure. I always strive to do my best to make sure others are happy and healthy and care for others. I find great joy and fulfillment in seeing others happy and assisting in any way I can. My ultimate goals are to get back into Childcare as I finish my BA in Early Childhood Education and hopefully open up my own preschool some day. I have are experience with both very young children and infants as well as adult care and senior care.
