I try to treat every client as my own family member. With respect, compassion and 110% customer service. If I'm able to assist them I will. If not I will try to help them figure out how to get the assistance they need. I believe we all need to do our part to help people in these crazy times. I'm very easy going and enjoy making people laugh.

Currently I live in Prudenville, Mi. My family is relocating to Fremont at the beginning of May. It is very hard for me to leave my current job because I have been with some of my residents for 5 years now. They have become a second family to me. I love the relationships I have built with my people. My father in law passed away suddenly 8 years ago, that was what sparked my interest in care giving. I wanted to make a difference, to learn, to give back to the elderly. When I started my job I had no clue what I was getting myself into. I was a parent but hadn't cared for elderly people. This has made me a better person, I have a softer approach to life now. The difficulties have made me more patient, caring, and understanding.

I have the capacity to understand what others may not be able to communicate. I am empathetic to others needs and will go above and beyond to help them achieve their needs. My communication skills are excellent even in a non-communicative environment. My passion is elderly and disabled, whether that be mentally or physically. Everyone deserves a fair chance at a good life and I want to help others succeed. I am a very hardworking person as I also have the desire to provide thoroughly for my family as well. I find that elderly and disabled persons flock to me as they feel safe in my presence and know that that isn't always the case for them.

I truly love being a caregiver and helping my client. I treat my clients how I'd want my parents and grandparents to be treated. I listen to them and will sit down with them and talk or do whatever, if they are happy then I feel like I'm doing my job. I feel like there's always more to learn and I look forward to that and growing.. When I first became a caregiver for veterans I was excited to help and give back for all they have done for us and our country. It was a priceless feeling, it made me feel like I was truly making a difference . I feel now that helping anyone in need is of utmost importance and I want to be there in any way that I can to help. I have a huge heart and I just want to help and be the best caregiver possible. I feel like this is such an important career. To make somebody's day better and make them feel good about themselves is a great feeling to be able to have a hand in that. I'm especially proud of being able to save my clients' life. I showed up for my time with him and he was in his fenced-in backyard on the ground. He was almost 90 years old and he went outside with his dog (whom he loved so very much) the night before and ended up falling and he laid there calling for help all night, for about 18 hrs.) but none of the neighbors heard him unfortunately. He didn't even know that it rained the night before and he was so severely dehydrated. That was my first time ever being able to save somebody's life and luckily I had a shift that day with him and found him. I called 911 and his family member, to take care of his dog. I was beyond scared but I had a hand in saving his life and he was so happy to see me, thank God that he got terrific care and I found him in time. That was an unbelievably rewarding experience and it made me proud of my being a caregiver.

I absolutely love being able to help and care for others who cant help or care for themselfs, or even if they can but need some assitamce with help. I love having communication and playing games and doing activities with my clients. What attracted me to doing this type of work are just being able to help others who need help.. personal achievment im very proud of is becoming a home health aide and learning new things every day and just being able to care for my clients as they are my own family.. Im a wife and a mom to 3 sons. Which one of my sons was n a accident and has a lot of health issues including a tbi and brain tumor so more i learn working more i learn for him as well..

I'm 42 years young, I have a passion for taking care of people. When I lost my Grandma in 1999 that's when I decided I wanted to take care of people. I'm fun to be around, I love to talk and listen to stories of the olden days.
