I have always had a love for the elderly, starting at a very young age. In 1992 I completed my Registered practical nurse program, and worked as an Rpn in Canada for 18 years and as a health care aide for 2 years prior. I have been blessed to care for a wide variety of clients over the years but my main focus was clients with Alzheimers and/or dementia. In 2011 I became the resident care co ordinator of Brookdale senior living facility, in 2012 I worked at Pines of Clarkston assisted living facility as a resident aide, then promoted to administrator of Pines of Clarkston memory care. My latest employment opportunity was as a clinical coordinator with Great Lakes caring homecare. I am very proud of all of my accomplishments in my career so far, each giving me valuable tools and experience for future career endeavors. I am a very compassionate, caring, client focused individual that takes pride in all I do. If you have any questions or wish to contact me, send me a message and I will happy to set up a time that we can discuss how I can be helpful to you and your loved one

I have a nurturing spirit. I became a care giver at a young age. I took care of my god mother at 12 years of age. My career choice stemmed from my relationship with the elderly. I love what I do. My work speaks from its self. I love to help people get back to their best. . I love how I can get to the meanest people and they truly love me. I have client I make special sandwich's to make him happy. So when he doesn't eat the staff let's me know and I can go cook and he will eat. This makes me proud. He doesn't like many but he likes me. I'm proud of that.
I'm looking for one that is in need of companionship/caregiving. social stimulation and being a part of a support team for you and your loved one, it brings a calmness to know that they can achieve a better quality of life. Growing up I always wanted to help people but never knew how. Now as an adult resources and outlets help provide new venues to find help for families and loved ones. As an adult I find that being available for seinors that need/want companionships or caregiving is a win win situation. I can supply references if needed.
I became a caregiver because i have a strong heart and love helping others. I like being a caregiver because some elderly people do not have people that really care about them for them they family only care if they getting money out of them . I seen it happen with my grandmother. I love helping others & making them feel good about themselves just because they are old they still having feelings to. No one should ever be abused or neglected

I'm easy going person who like to be around different people. I'm easy to have a conversation with, I'm very passionate towards people. My mom was a CNA when I was 12 years old, my mom took me to work with her i enjoyed helping others and seeing the smile on their faces. What I enjoy most is seeing their faces when you walk in, being able to help them, learn about them. Being able to know they have someone there to help and listen to them.
What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I have a huge compassion with helping people. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver is the happiness you can create as well as not only sympathy but the empathy towards the elderly past or current life situations. I really enjoy creating a bond by listening to there life stories and taking care of them because it helps not only themselves but the family I love to see people smile and to help them make there day the best that it can be. An personal achievement I'm proud of is when I worked in multiple homes or facilities that I have had nothing but compliments for example a man that suffered from a strokes wife for Christmas gave me a gift and card one year thanking me and let me know that when I come in the room my smile and happiness lights up the whole room. Made me feel I was right where I belonged
