To make somebody's day better and make them feel good about themselves is a great feeling to be able to have a hand in that. I'm especially proud of being able to save my clients' life. I showed up for my time with him and he was in his fenced-in backyard on the ground. He was almost 90 years old and he went outside with his dog (whom he loved so very much) the night before and ended up falling and he laid there calling for help all night, for about 18 hrs.) but none of the neighbors heard him unfortunately. He didn't even know that it rained the night before and he was so severely dehydrated. That was my first time ever being able to save somebody's life and luckily I had a shift that day with him and found him. I called 911 and his family member, to take care of his dog. I was beyond scared but I had a hand in saving his life and he was so happy to see me, thank God that he got terrific care and I found him in time. That was an unbelievably rewarding experience and it made me proud of my being a caregiver.
