The joy I receive from caring for and helping to improve the livelihood of others is unmatched. I am experienced in all ADLs including cleaning, running errands, attending appointments and/or outings, providing transportation, companionship, preparing light meals, feeding and/or assistance with feeding, helping in daily exercises, medication administration, PT/OT task assistance, and more. I am skilled in all transfer techniques (hoyer/board/sit to stand/wheelchair/etc), manual bowel programs, quadriplegic care, stroke patient care, memory care, and care of developmental and intellectually challenged individuals. Hi, Im Zakyah peferably "Kyah" and i have been doing caregiving since 2020. I find myself very caring, patient, and flexible, i have alot of compassion for helping others and definitely my elders, I am very big on trustworthiness due to me having great grandparents in their 80's who i also take care of when i can but as to me working i have to have a caregiver for them during the week , so i feel as if me knowing what i would want for the best care for them , showed me everything plus more of what i needed to do myself to be the best caregiver i could possibly be. Being with my great grandparents and being their caregiver and seeing how great i did with helping them inspired me to go into this feild and start helping others also, i enjoy caregiving alot. The thing i enjoy most about caregiving would have to be my confidence i always see the good in someone's condition or their abilities, i would also have to say being able to give back and help my elders , elders do alot throughout their lifetimes weather its helping others or just their daily lives during their early life, so i feel as if giving them the care they deserve is very necessary.
