I love being a caregiver because I love helping people with things that give them a hard time, being there companionship when they need someone their for them, helping them with the goals, and letting them experience things they have always wanted to! I am so glad to work everyday and be able to see them smile doing the things they love!

I have 6 years working in long term care. I believe what makes me a great caregiver is I go out of my way to do my best at keeping my residents happy. I became a caregiver Because i have a child who is DD and Ive seen the need for good caregivers. The thing i love the most are the family's they are so happy when there love ones are happy, laughing and happy to have the help they went. im so proud when a family lets me share in there love ones life weather is to get them better from maybe a fall or to the after life.. i'm a mom of 5 kids 10 grand kids im available anytime days night overnights

Hello, my name is Normandee Dionne. I was a CNA for 3 years. I worked with elderly. I helped them with their ADL's. I also helped bath, clean and helped with activities. I have been in school for 3 years for nursing (LPN) I just finished in May for the summer and the fall. I will be going back in the spring for my last semester. I did clinicals at St. Alexis., Valley View Heights, Missouri Slope and some of the clinics north of Bismarck. I have passed meds and taken care of many patients/residents. I enjoy helping and taking care of my patients/residents. What attracted me to be a caregiver is my family. I want to become a nurse so I can help my family and take care of my family to the best of my abilities. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver would have to be just being with the patient and knowing I can help. My biggest achievement so far would have to be the decision to go to nursing school.
