I see myself as a compassionate and trustworthy caregiver. I enjoy seeing my residents thrive and live out the rest of their life in safe hands with a friend to help them, I see myself as that friend. I like to connect to each resident I have and be more than just someone who works for them. I love being a caregiver because it gives me the opportunity to appreciate our elders and take care of them as they have taken care of us. I am proud of the mother I have become and being a caregiver has enlightened me on what giving your all and cherishing someone truly means in motherhood.

I use to be a music teacher and my love for kids has always been there. I love to help others. While I was caring for my great uncle, he spend time in a nursing home with a broken leg, then a hip. I would go everyday to help feed him and I would also visit with other residents by talking with them or wheeling them back to their rooms after meals. I would also take time to go see the whenever I had a chance when my uncle was home. I assisted with activities in the nursing home. I love to care and help others. Upon returning from caring from my uncle, I went back to work for a company I spent a couple months with in caregiving in youth group homes. Since I love kids, it was a no brainer. These kids have suffered greatly in their short lives and if I could provide a service to them, then I am content. I would play cards and board games with these kids as well as do crafts. I love the welcome when the kids see me so I know they like me no matter what issues they have with behaviors.

I have been in the healthcare industry for over 24 years. I started as a Care Assistant and worked my way up the career path to Registered Nurse. I am currently a NA/CMA. I have also been a Registered Manager for a community care company, who provided care for people in there own home. I am a Manual Handler trainer with risk assessment. I have vast experience in healthcare and enjoy providing care, support and assistance in a holistic manner ensuring person centered care is delivered. I was born in Scotland, UK and moved to the USA in Nov 2020.
