My biggest passion is caring and helping people in need. It is a very fulfilling and important part of my life. When I'm not working, I spend my leisure time kayaking, walking/hiking, reading, being creative and taking care of myself and my home. I've been a caregiver for about 3 years now. I've always liked helping people and seeing people grow. I started working with kids, being an assistant teacher at cowabungas and working at an all girls camp. Then I went into caregiving for the elderly with Home Instead. I've taken courses for dementia and Alzheimer's. I love building a connection with the people I work with and helping them achieve the things they are working towards.

I have lovingly cared for both of my parents and for a very dear aunt prior to them passing away. I have been caring for my wonderful husband since his severe stroke 22 years ago. Hello, my name is Laura and I am 31. I have a wonderful husband and we have 2 children. T. is 12 and B. is 8. I have a diverse back ground with elderly care and child care, and am looking for clients. When I was a child my mother had an in home daycare and she also took care of my grandfather who had MS. From an early age I was introduced to both child care and elderly care and realized that I had a passion to help people. I have worked in a nursing home, had a private daycare, and most recently worked privately in a home assisting a 92-year-old who was unable to walk. I have experience with a multitude of things and am willing to learn. I believe in the golden rule; treat everyone, how you want to be treated. I was raised with a strong sense of compassion, responsibility, dependability and honesty. I take pride in providing the best care possible.
