I've been doing this type of career for 28 years and love what I do I also would love to go get my LPN to further my career this fall 2023 then I'll be able to do more an help out more with my clients, then I can now, I wouldn't change my career for anything it what I've wanted to do my whole life and it runs in my family, and I intend to do for rest of my working life, it not a job to me it a career and it like taking care of my own family and love ones, my clients mean everything to me, I'm there for my clients to help them feel safe and comfortable with there ADL and being home, I am proud to have been in my career for over 28 years, an Im proud to add many more years to it, and have my LPN this year 2023, I also have both of my covid-19 shots so I am good to go with the covid-19, I also work with all types of care,

My biggest passion is caring and helping people in need. It is a very fulfilling and important part of my life. When I'm not working, I spend my leisure time kayaking, walking/hiking, reading, being creative and taking care of myself and my home. I'm blessed with strength and good health, patience and understanding, and I believe this is why former caretaking clients always asked for me. I look forward to meeting you!

* What are your personality traits or expertise that help you be a great caregiver. I enjoy interacting and investing time in the clients hobbies and interests. I have given all levels of care, from elderly (including but not limited to Dementia) to disabled, and TBI individuals. I have been a medication technician in several previous postions, as well. * What attracted to you being a caregiver? The diversity of the clientele and the needs they have. I find that I easily connect with the people I work with because I listen and can adapt to each individual and their needs. * What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? Spending quality time and making my clients feel as independent as possible. Such as achieving goals, running an errand, making a meal together or even something small. If it makes them smile and helps them that means the world to me because I assisted in making that happen. * What is a personal achievement you are proud of? My children. My greatest achievement is how well they've grown. Helping them become the people they are. Seeing them progress and having them tell me about how they've used what I have taught them to succeed. I like to inform my clients and their families ahead of time: I have colored hair (currently pink and purple), a nose piercing and modest visible tattoos. I'm happy to wear long sleeves and/or a mask if it makes anyone uncomfortable. My pay is definitely flexible. The app would not allow me to leave it blank. My name is Chelsea. I have worked in nursing homes/ primary care for 10 years. I find myself a very caring, compassionate, patient and understanding person. I try to find the good in every situation. In the last year I took a break from healthcare and took a position in childcare. Somewhat the same as care giving but on the other end of the spectrum. I enjoy creating relationships with my patients and giving them the care they deserve. While working in elderly care I found a majority of the staff was there for the paycheck, I can't say that for myself. I felt important as I became closer with my residents as they felt the comfortable with me as they couldn't with some of the staff. Caring for people makes me feel good because I am making someone feel happy and that is important at their time in life no matter what age, Having to have help is always hard and to have someone that understands , is patient and kind is key in my eyes.

I possess a high level of attention to detail as well as a willingness to do what needs to be done. I always go above and beyond my scope of practice to help my clients achieve the maximum level of independence while acting as a supplement to their abilities. In my opinion, assisting with activities of daily living goes well above and beyond just personal hygiene and meal prep. It means helping the client stay engaged in the community as desired. Getting out and continuing to be active as able. I excel with clients and families that are looking for high quality care as well as compassion and drive to achieve. I like to push for whats possible and work well with a family and care team that is actively involved with day to day on goings and encourages client to maintain maximum health and independence regardless of affliction or disability. I worked as a caregiver for Home Instead Senior Care and private caregiving for two years. I have extensive training on all senior care aspects, to include medication management and care procedures. I have cared for clients with different forms of dementia, Parkinson's, physical disabilities, and medical issues. I am familiar with personal care, end of life care, and companionship. I feel that I am very compassionate, I have a lot of patience with different individuals. I enjoy helping others And seeing them happy. I enjoy sitting with the elderly and listening to their stories and listening to what they have accomplished in their life.

My story.. When I was 14 years old my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia. She declined very fast and my grandfather (already being 76 years old) couldn't care for her on his own. So my twin brother and I moved in full time with my grandparents and helped care for her at a very young age. Soon after she passed my grandfather was diagnosed with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, and my family was ready to find a LTC facility (Long Term Care facility) where they could care for him. My brother and I absolutely refused the idea of him being moved out of his home he worked so hard for, so we then continued to take care of him until last year. My whole life has been dedicated to caring for other individuals. Not only do I hold myself to the highest standards of care, but I love doing what I do and show compassion at an all time high, because I put myself in other individuals shoes. This job/career will be my career for a lifetime and I am an extremely family orientated person.

I am an Experienced caregiver who is dependable , trustworthy, caring and patient. Previous LNA experience at Dartmouth Hitchcock working on neuro vascular unit. Over 25 years experience as an LNA which includes time spent doing home-care with hospice patients, dementia/Alzheimer's patients, etc I am happy to help with errands, medication management, meal preparation, lite house keeping duties, as well as daily living activities.
