Hello! My name is Anna, I am a mother of two sons and one daughter. Throughout my life, I have most enjoyed when I am working for the well-being of people. I love helping others and knowing that I am making a positive impact in their lives. I was drawn to becoming a caregiver after seeing the need for this service. My aim is to make people feel cared for and loved as I help with their daily living skills in a way that helps maintain their dignity and independence as much as possible.
I have worked in healthcare for over 20 years as a nurse assistant. I have worked several years in the hospital setting as a floater in every department. I have extensive knowledge working with the elderly and special needs population. My experience includes, cancer care, colostomy care, memory care, Ms, msa, respiratory therapy, wound care, vitals, medication management, diabetes care, cardiac care, post op care, medical surgery, ICU, emergency care, advance CPR and first aid, licensed cardiac technician etc.
The reason why I wanted to be a caregiver is because when I was a little girl; there was an elderly lady that lived down the street from me who had know one to help her at all. I would go sit with her and run errands for her just because that's what God wanted me to do, and I enjoyed it. I knew one day that I would do the same for others, who just needed a helping hand. I truly enjoy helping others and being a part of a support system for them as well. Now, on the other hand I take pride in what I do and I treat my clients like family; not like just another paycheck to collect. I'm honest and hard working, very diligent in providing the proper care that's needed. Also, being reliable is something I take very seriously because that person is counting on me to be there on time. If you want someone who is professional but kind, gets tasks done in a timely fashion, and is dependable then I feel that I am a great candidate. Thank you
Professional, Experienced,Dependable,Caring...I've been a CNA 20+ years from hospitals, home-care,hospice to schools,no job is too small or large if there's a need I can fill or fit into. My mother was an RN that owned a large senior day care that I grew up in, in her twilight years I became her caregiver so I've been on both sides of the 'caregiver' role, I know how hard it is to find a good match and how important dependability, honesty and a compassionate heart is. I've remained in this role all these years because I genuinely love history and people to me are the ultimate living walking history especially seniors. I've won many awards but I'm most proud when I'm able to bring comfort or a smile to someone. I have many references letters and awards, can provide all at interviews my hourly rate is negotiable depending on hours,
Schedule management housekeeping and laundry meals preparation doctors visit mobility assistance medications administration fit and able to move patients clam and level head under stress I enjoy being a caregiver becauseI love and enjoy and help the elderly to make their life a little easier with a smile on their faces that I enjoy my job
I love people. It would be MY pleasure to care for your parents. I have HAD several clients on a as needed basis. I used to house & Parent sit, so that the caregivers could take a vacation, leaving their parent in their own home. I cook, clean & provide personal care when needed. I became a Caregiver because it gives me an opportunity to assist, encourage and make a difference in the lives of my clients. I enjoy making my clients comfortable, see them smile, love them as a person and listen to their many stories. A personal achievement I am proud of is when I heard a client who have never spoken a word in many months from the time I started working with her, turned towards me one day during lunch and asked me if she could have a piece of my lunch. I felt so good, I cried a little). I have been working as a Caregiver/Companion for over 15 years. I look forward everyday when working to having a wonderful and fulfilled day with my clients.
1. I became a caregiver when I discovered my grandmother was being abused by her in house caregiver. I took over the job and cared for her for 5 years before she passed. I later cared for my Aunt who was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gherics disease). After the tragedy with my grandmother I vowed to never let mistreatment of others happen on my watch. I was so good at it that my family encouraged me to pursue a career in the healthcare field. I became a CNA, a medical assistant, and currently pursuing a nursing degree. 2. I like to help others who can't do for themselves anymore or needs just a little help. I like to see smiles. That lets me know that I'm doing a great job! 3. I became a CNA and then a medical assistant and pursuing my dream of being a Nurse. I am proud because I am following my dreams and able to help families in need.
