I have many years of caregiver experience working with the elderly population and individuals with developmental disabilities. I enjoy the social aspect of being a caregiver as well as assisting with doing ADLS and other tasks to ensure recipients have a better quality of life. I have been a care giver for many years but this year is special because I received my Home Health Aid certification. I really love being a home health aid, it is a meaningful and fulfilling job! I appreciate learning new things which is why I know how to check insulin levels, administer insulin shots and perform wound care, since these skills aren't in a home health aides scope of practice.
