Hello my name is Julie Miller! I'm from Athens Ohio. I became a caregiver about 8 years ago when my dad was diagnosed with cancer. When he passed away that's when I decided that's what I wanted to do as a career is to become a caregiver and help other like I help my dad and other family members. It make me feel really blessed to be able to be apart of people lives and help them as much as possible

I enjoy taking care of people, it makes me feel like I have several of grandparents. taking care of others makes me feel like I've accomplished a lot in life. I've worked in home healthcare, nursing homes & this is by far what I was made to do. I love my career.

I am naturally very polite and kind to anyone even strangers. I understand that one good deed could make a whole person's day, even if it is just sharing a conversation with them. I like to see things from every single perspective and pride myself on how open-minded I am. I also take my work very seriously, especially the people involved. I love all animals and all cultures are super interesting to me! My over all goal in any day is too stay positive, even when it can be hard.

I have been a caregiver for 25 years in various types of areas. I owned a state licensed adult familyhome for adults with disabilities for 15 years. Adults were referred to my home by Health and Human Services. I provided a home and all aspects of daily living, social interactions, doctor appointments, medications, meals, household tasks as well as promoting the independence of each individual. I have also provided care for an elderly woman at first in her house and then in my house when her needs began to increase and she couldn't stay alone anymore. In addition, I have provided in home care to 2 children with disabilities and complex medical needs. I enjoy what I do because I love the satisfaction of helping to improve others lives. I consider myself to be a very caring, empathetic, dedicated, self driven person. I would think that those I've worked with would say the same.
