Hello my name is Anastasia and I am a mother of two beautiful girls. I became a caretaker shortly before I had my first daughter as more of a means to an end income wide and fell in love with helping people. I have dabbled in a few other professions but have always come back to helping and taking care of others. As a teen I became sick and could not walk for about a year. With a lot of hard work and a dedicated medical team I was able to regain my mobility back which has given me a great insight on how people who need care feel while they are in their time of need. I feel that my experience has given me the patience needed to allow others the right amount of time to grow and heal themselves. One thing I do love about my job and feel the most proud of is the fact that I am very into taking care of the whole individual not just their ailment. So in tern I tend to find little drastic changes that others miss and, with my own experience in mind, I am able to better understand the feelings of those who do not like having the extra help. I believe that everyone has their own story and just because of either an ailment or old age that story does not just end. It its my duty as a caretaker to help that person continue that story and live their best life the best they can. Why else would anyone want to be a caretaker.

Caring for others is part of who I am. I'm naturally nurturing and empathetic. I'm very good at anticipating needs and serving others. Caregivers are true givers. They recognize the reward by knowing the difference they make each day. The true desire to give comes from within us. This gift has allowed me to achieve a wonderful relationship with my children and has only strengthened as they've become young men. Of course, that's what I'm most proud of.

My favorite thing about being a caregiver is the fact that your helping others and I love to help. I love knowin at the end up the day that I made the day easier for my residents and that they know if they ever need anything of some sort I'll be their to help. My first jon as a caregiver I was thrown into and I had no idea what I was doing but due to training and my fellow employees they made it easy to love and learn how to do all the things and assistance the residents need on a day to day basis.

I truly think one of the absolute best things about me in my previous experiences as being a caregiver is I don't look at it like a paycheck. It's a family.
