I was attracted to being a caregiver because I wanted to be able to help people be able to do things they are unable to do without help . I just wanted to help them have the normal life they would have if they were able to do so .

I evaluated what other avenues were available to me to share my years of counseling experiences. I decided that as a home health care aid, I could help both the client themselves and their families. I enjoy knowing that I have helped a number of people remain in their own homes with dignity and respect.

I knew I wanted to take care of people when my grandpa was sick when I was in 6th and 7th grade. Visiting him in the nursing home and hospital pushing him around and making him smile was the best feeling ever. I decided to go to Lawrence County Vo-tech for my 11th and 12th grade year to become a CNA and started working my senior year in November 2008. In 2012 I left that job to go to the facility my grandma resided in until she was well enough to go home which was about 2.5 years, and continued to work until I moved in 2016 I currently am working for St. Barnabas now as a hospice aide part time. I recieved an award for employee of the month in August from them. Overall, I enjoy helping care for people, and make them feel good about themselves. A smile of appreciation in return is so rewarding.

I started my caregiver journey at 16 years old because of my passion to help others. Nearly 30 years later, my journey continues. My skillset includes PT, OT, and ADL Assistance, Medication Administration/reminders, light housekeeping, meal prep, and companionship. I work well with Dementia/Alzheimer's inflicted consumers. I have been certified as a CNA, PCA, and Med Tech. I was also the Site Coordinator of Mercer County for Guardian Home Specialties.

I started caring for people since before I even could understand what it was. My little sister is severely autistic. I would help her with her activities of daily living everyday. When I got out of high school in 2010 I started working as an STNA in Ohio. I have worked in multiple nursing homes, home care agencies, group homes, and day programs. I can't say I have seen it all but I have seen a lot. I learn something new everyday and I love to learn. I have alot of experience from alzeimers and dementia to schizophrenia. Being a care giver gives me a great deal of purpose. Helping people gives me a sense of joy. One personal achievement I have made by myself would be starting as a care giver in a group home and got promoted to a site supervisor.

I have been in the Healthcare 15+ years. I take great pride in what I do. I recently worked at St. Johns in Mars for 7 years. I love working with the elderly, sick, dementia & all phases pertaining to health field. I have experience with dementia, ventilator patients, alzheimers etc..I get such joy helping & caring for all types of health related illnesses. Home Care in Beaver Falls PA, Hi, My name is Rochelle 27, and I'm Registered Nurse in the Philippines. I'm experienced caregiver as well. I have 4 years of experience with Parkinson and Alzheimer's patient doing grooming, bathing, dressing, toileting, putting in and out of bed for partially paralyzed patient. I can assist with medication, feeding, preparing light meals, companionship, and light house keeping. I have experienced working in Assisted living in Florida and Private Caregiver/companion. I started being passionate of taking care of other people when I enrolled into a Nursing School. The sense of fulfillment you get when you know you help someone is priceless.
