I was attracted to being a caregiver because I wanted to be able to help people be able to do things they are unable to do without help . I just wanted to help them have the normal life they would have if they were able to do so .

I knew I wanted to take care of people when my grandpa was sick when I was in 6th and 7th grade. Visiting him in the nursing home and hospital pushing him around and making him smile was the best feeling ever. I decided to go to Lawrence County Vo-tech for my 11th and 12th grade year to become a CNA and started working my senior year in November 2008. In 2012 I left that job to go to the facility my grandma resided in until she was well enough to go home which was about 2.5 years, and continued to work until I moved in 2016 I currently am working for St. Barnabas now as a hospice aide part time. I recieved an award for employee of the month in August from them. Overall, I enjoy helping care for people, and make them feel good about themselves. A smile of appreciation in return is so rewarding.

I am a trustworthy, flexible, compassionate person. I am interested in helping others and always put others well being in front of mine. I have always wanted to do something in the medical field so that is why I am interested in working with the elderly. I have almost two years experience working as a Personal Care Aid.

I became a caregiver 13 years ago to help the elderly be able to stay in their homes with dignity. It gives me great joy to see someone healthy, happy & thriving in the comfort of their own home. As a caregiver I have great compassion for my clients, am dedicated, reliable, and organized.

What makes me a good caregiver is that I have 9 years experience I get along great with people and I have patience. I love the fact that my son sees and knows what I do and said he wants to do the same thing I do when he gets older.

I am a wife and mom of 4. My first caregiving experience was almost 16 years ago taking care of my mom, along with an infant, a 3 yr old, and a 7 yr old, when she had terminal cancer. I took care of my dad until he passed away in 2020. And for the last 5 years I also took care of my elderly neighbors. I've been told that I'm a born nurturer, and I just love taking care of people.

I love helping people. I enjoy seeing other people getting active and having a smile.

I think one of my greatest traits that with my experience make me well qualified for the job is, compassion and patience. Because above all those are the two important things you need to have while working in the health care field, and I have learned both go a long way. I have been a personal care giver in many different enviroments/ to all ages of patients for the past 6 years, and the amount of different people you meet and just being able to be there when they need somebody/ help in any way is in my view the best part of the job.

I became a caregiver for my sisters mother in law. I loved cooking and baking for and with her. We had our favotite shows and played cards for fun. I bartended and managed restaurants all my life but it wasn't nearly as fulfilling as being a caregiver.

What drove me to be a passionate caregiver, was the influence of my mother and how she effected many families lives. Although, I have 2.5 years experience legally working as a caregiver/nurses aide, I have had experience going to work with my mother in my early years of high school. Also, I have many family members/close family friends who have struggled with disabilities, such as Alzheimer's, dementia, healing from surgeries, MR, paralyzed, in wheel chairs, anxiety, cancer, and depression. So including all of those, I have years upon years of experience. I have my own vehicle/drivers license/ etc. so I would be available to provide transportation. I would be a great caregiver for you and your family because I have a GREAT passion for helping/Caring for others, and making them comfortable no matter the situation. I have a huge heart and am very personable. I would love nothing more than to be your families caregiver.
