My name is Geri Mc Euen I am 40 years old and have been working elders for 10 years. I have been a Caregiver since the day I turned 18 and absolutely I love it! I have worked with families with there loved ones that need companionship, Light Housekeeping, Meal Preparation, Laundry, And Personal Care Assistant. I feel comfortable watching and working all the time. I also love to cook for healthy meals to keep them healthy. I also have a background with Medical Equipment and Background. I also Taking my Nursing Class in Northeast Community College and East Tennessee State University, Kingsport area. My name is Tyler and I'm a 22 year old college student. I consider myself to be kind, having tremendous amount of patience, very understanding towards others, and a great listener. I'm very soft spoken and dedicated in helping others with things they need. I believe that my job as a caregiver helps me gain some experience for my future career as a Nurse and I enjoy working with individuals and their families, as well as, brightening up their day by being there for them. My personal achievement that I'm proud of is being able to help others who struggle to do activities of daily living, however, I believe my biggest personal achievement is yet to come.

I pride myself on providing warm, understanding and patient care for our seniors. My passion stems from volunteering at a nursing home and seeing first hand the lack of empathy for our elders. I believe in respect and lending a helping hand so our seniors can hang onto to their independence and dignity.

God has blessed me with a caregivers heart. I have approximately 16-18 years of caregiving. I have cared for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's Disease, TBI's, Multiple Sclerosis and more. I truly enjoy helping others and caring for people.

I am compassionate, caring, and understanding. I am very outgoing and can hold a conversation, but I also know when to just sit and be a companion. I enjoy providing care for those who cannot care for themselves and I take pride in the fact that I have the ability to do so. I care for others as I would want others to care for a member of my family. What attracted me to being a caregiver was when my mother wasn't able to care for herself, (which ironically gives me most of the expertise I have in caregiving). My mother had a motorcycle accident in 2012 which inabled her from most daily activity. On top of that she developed many medical ailments (cataracts, diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, incontinence, etc.). I cared for her until her passing in February of 2020. I enjoy the personal familiarity of caring for someone in their home environment. Being able to get to know them and their family on a personal level. Although it can be heartbreaking at times, it also brings a warmth and special bond and I believe that ecah bond is a personal achievement and those are all things that I am proud of.

Caregiving is a gift. I love serving and be able to help anyone that needs assistance mentally,physically, emotionally and spiritually.
