Hi!! My name is Cindy. I am 41 yrs old and have been married to my best friend for 13 years. We have no children. I have been working in geriatrics for 20+ years. It's my passion. I have worked in skilled nursing homes, assisted living homes, hospitals, Alzheimer's units, and my personal favorite in home settings. I have had CNA certification, med tech, first aid and CPR, diabetic care training, wound care, and more. I take great pride in my work. It's more than a paycheck to me. I first started out through Addus Health Care in Marion, Illinois. At the time I did not know what I was really doing, it was just a starter job until I could find the job that I was truely looking for. Within the first couple of weeks that Addus Health Care, they were sending me to different clients homes, it took a little while for me to start feeling comfortable. The people who I got to come in contact with, and help with their daily living schedules; were so nice and so good to me; they were so loving, and it was the people who showed me so much love who made me want to show all my love back and they made me want to help them; but most of all through all the months and years that I had devoted my life with these people; it became where I just didn't want to share my love with them; I needed to show them because I need them as much as they need me. I love helping other people and getting to become a special part of their lives and families. I continued my education into CNA and CPR classes and have graduated, and am now State Certified through Tennessee.

I have a bubbly personality, empathy towards others. I love being a caregiver and taking care of others. I love meeting new clients and making a difference in their lives. I proud of how much experience I have taking care of others and hopefully one day having my own home care business.

Three years ago, my grandmother was diagnosed with Stomach and lung cancer. Shortly after her diagnosis, she had a stroke and was unable to do much of anything for herself. I took care of my grandparents until my grandma passed away last year. I realized that helping people was something that I really valued and took a job as CNA at the hospital and loved the work I did there. My favorite part was helping the patients to achieve things they thought that they couldn't by offering them an arm to hold onto and some encouraging words.

Iam a very loving caring person who enjoys what I can do for others..i enjoy making someones life a lot easier and to give comfort and encouraging words whenever needed..i have been thru many trials of my own and have walked in others shoes so I feel that I have what it takes to be a caregiver to someone..
