I am very proud of myself because everything I've put my mind to in the last couple of years I have accomplished and I getting my CNA and PCA
hi my name is NYREE THOMAS, I am forty-three yrs old, I first beginned to work as a caregiver straight out of high school, my first client was my very own grandfather. I saw so much pain in his face everyday because he did not want me to have to go through the heartache of caring for him knowing that one day he would not be here much longer, but I did it anyways. after he passed I knew from that moment I knew caring for seniors was what I wanted to do. caring for senior citizens bring me so much joy to see how much they are so grateful that we as cargivers care enough to take the time out to care for others as well as their own. I have been doing this kind of work for twenty-three yrs and as I stated before I love it. I have two beautiful and loving sons whom are my whole world, they are adults now but they will always be my babies I still care for them like I do everyone else. I am proud of all of my achievements starting with the love and compassionate heart I have. when I wake up each morning knowing that I am about to go and put a smile on another clients face and let them know that their lives are just beginning each and everyday, knowing that they feel a whole lot better than they did before I arrived at their door.
I am very caring and loving. I have over 15 years of experience as a caregiver. I love people! What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping in whatever the patient needs help with I will deliver my all and most importantly take care for them. I feel a great satisfaction when i know i was able to do for someone that needed my help. I have always been very compassionate towards people but when my grandma got a stroke a few years back I really understood how hard it is to trust someone with your loved one. She is one of the main reasons why I take great care and take pride in what I do.
I'm a nice, outgoing and caring caregiver who loves to listen to old stories from the elderly. I'm very patient and dependable. also I'm very attentive to changes with love ones. I've always had a passion to work with people that have Alzheimer and dementia, they are loving people. The thing I love most about being a caregiver is being able to assist someone who is in need of my help. Helping others I think has always been my calling so I chose to work with the elderly. A personal achievement that I am proud of is going through an Alzheimer's and Dementia training and getting to experience real life struggles that they deal with
I've been in the healthcare field for almost 10yrs. My motto is to be the caregiver that I want in the future. I've worked in many nursing homes, assisted living and memory care facilities. When I worked at autumn Leaves as a CNA, I was offered the position as a Life Engagement Specialist. Within my new position, my role included conducting activities and exercises. When I started the exercise routine, I made some changes to make it more fun for everyone. Within 3months, it went from 20% participation to 60%. I've worked with all type of patients and residents and also understand that this change is not only on the client but also effects the family members as well. My goal is to pay it forward for those who are in need.

I am a compassionate person who enjoy helping others. I'm a registered CNA with CPR/BLS and EKG training. I have over 15 years of experience with the elderly and disabled. After many years of working in a Hospital Business Office by day and caring for a family member at night, I decided to become a Caregiver to others. I know first hand what it is like to need assistance with the care of a loved one and realizing that you can't be there 24 hrs a day. The uncertainty of trusting someone else to do it for you can cause anxiety. I promise you that I will treat your loved one with kindness, dignity and respect, the same way I would like my loved ones to be treated. This isn't just a job for me, it is a ministry and a passion.

Greetings,
I've discovered that regardless of someones health conduction or disability everyone deserves a quality life and to be happy, thats way I became a "compassionate caregiver" it is so important to provide compassionate care to thoughes that need caring for.
One of my good friends was in a car accident that left him as a Quadriplegic, now him being such a young man he became very depress with life and I had a problem with that so I decided to learn how to care for him, and I did just that, so I could be of help to my friend and that he could have a quality life. So I took a course on so I learned how to transfer Quadriplegic patients so I could transfer him from his wheel chair to the my car and him from the car to his wheelchair , that alowed us to go places and do things together. Then he began to stop looking at his self deficiencies but started making planes to do things and to love life so he stated visiting places and I enjoyed are times together just like old times. So this is how I got stattrd, involved into caring for people.
What makes me a great caregiver is my natural compassion for helping people and my 25 years of experience in the medical field. My greatest accomplishment is being a mother to my 22 year old custodial daughter and my 11 year old biological son.
The reason I became a caregiver is because when I was younger I took care of my grandmother and feel in love with the fact me taking care of someone with a passionate heart like mines.
What I like most about being a caregiver is I love helping people.
My personal achievement I'm proud of is that if I put a smile on my clients face my job has been done. As long as they are happy I'm happy.
Hard worker, dependable, motivated, trust worthy, family oriented, great cook
I'm very dependable, hard worker, motivated, family oriented and a person that gets the job done with no problem.
I became a caregiver to help people, to make a difference in someone's life. The best part of being a caregiver is knowing you were there to help someone in need (being needed). My biggest achievement was moving to Texas and taking the CNA class.I took care of my mother for 4 years after she had a couple strokes and was diagnosed with MS. I knew then taking care of others was my gift from God. I Love what I do. I am a single mother of 3 sons whom are all grown, I have 3 beautiful grandkids. I've lived in Houston for 6 years and have been employed with the same hospital for 5 years. I have also worked in assisted living as well as home health. I enjoy helping others and take pride in making others feel better.
