I'm a very upfront outgoing person. I've been a Certified Nurse Assistant since I was 18 yrs old. I was helping my Mom out with my Dad during his battle with lung cancer. I enjoyed giving my Dad one on one care. I cared for him while my Mother was at work. Allowing him to be comfortable in his own home. After he passed I went on to take the CNA, CMA, Phlebotomy class at Kilgore College. I enjoyed mostly the one on one time spent with my patients. Getting to know them. I've worked in Long term care facilities. Prisons, Home healths, Assisted living homes. I mostly enjoy going into the homes as a Companion. Just giving somebody the option of staying home. Helping them with all daily living routines. Allowing them to still stay active. Giving them respect, dignity. Also giving them all my attention.
What make me be a great caregiver is the compassion and love that I have for people. What attracted me to being a caregiver was when I worked in the laundry at a nursing home and when I would take the residents their clothes and their call light would be on waiting for someone to help them, but no one would come, I would try and help them. That's when I decided to go get my CNA license. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is listening to my client talk about the good old days and their family and watch their eyes light up and see the smile on their face. The most personal achievement that I'm proud of as a provider is knowing that I was able to give a family member love one the proper care and love that they so deserve.
I have trained and worked as a CNA for over 25 years, which includes hospice. My experience far out way my training because of my desire to continually expand my skills and training, which adds to my services rendered to clients. There is no illness or disease I have not worked with. I will be a welcome asset to any client who acquire my services.
I have been a pastor's wife for 40 years and I love people. I have served people young and old in various capacities over the years, but for the last 10 years I have found great joy in serving the elderly. I have experience providing companionship, cooking meals, providing transportation, running errands, administering meds, staying overnight, and making my clients' quality of living the best I can. I have numerous happy clients/references and I have never been asked to leave any of my sitting positions. I have also served as a volunteer hospital chaplain and have been trained and received certification from the Southern Baptist Association "Hands on Ministry". I look forward to serving more clients as I relocate to the DFW area to be close to my children and grandchildren.
I'm a very compassionate person who believes our patients should be treated like we would want our family members taken care of. I came into this field because I love to help people. My future plans I plan on becoming a Registered nurse. I believe I can offer the care someone needs. I don't mind being the ear just to listen when someone needs to talk.
I have always cared for my children, mother and grandmother. I love people and I feel good helping them. I enjoy being able to be with someone in need of companionship when the family is not around .I am proud to say that I went to collage and got my associates degree in Medical assisting. I feel I am more prepared to take care of my patients.
I am a licensed Registered Nurse, with 20+ yr. experience in patient care. I worked 10yr. in the Home Health field, providing care for home bound seniors and disabled patients. I also served 12yr. as a licensed foster parent for special needs children. I have travelled as a Missionary Nurse with Healthcare Ministries, since 2006. I have professional references available upon request.
I am a caregiver because taking care of others is truly my passion. I love making a positive difference in other peoples lives and helping them in any way possible. I have lots of experience with home care as well. I am a great caregiver because I listen to all their needs and accommodate as best as I possibly can.
