I've been doing this type of career for 28 years and love what I do I also would love to go get my LPN to further my career this fall 2023 then I'll be able to do more an help out more with my clients, then I can now, I wouldn't change my career for anything it what I've wanted to do my whole life and it runs in my family, and I intend to do for rest of my working life, it not a job to me it a career and it like taking care of my own family and love ones, my clients mean everything to me, I'm there for my clients to help them feel safe and comfortable with there ADL and being home, I am proud to have been in my career for over 28 years, an Im proud to add many more years to it, and have my LPN this year 2023, I also have both of my covid-19 shots so I am good to go with the covid-19, I also work with all types of care,

I'm a very compassionate person with a big heart, I love all people and love being around people. What attracted me to being a caregiver is when I took care of my grandma after she broke her neck. She needed me the most and I was there. I enjoy making people smile, and laugh and being there for people in their time of need! My personal achievement is when I learned how to help my grandmother change her IV medicine ball! I was able to help her so much more when I finally learned how to do it.

I first became an lna when my great grandparents became ill and needed someone to help care for them. I became a caregiver by pure accident, I needed a job when I moved and applied at assisted living, and suddenly i saw a side of me i never knew i had. I am loving, caring, patient,and so much more. I loved the fact that i could make someones day better, by just being there, it made me go home with a smile. about a year and half after my first caregiver job i moved back to my home town and got another job in the nursing field, and they offered me to pay for me to become a certified LNA, so i took them up on there offer, so i proud of myself for committing to this career for 5 years, and it has been so rewarding. along with that I also have a 4 year old son, who is my world, he drives me to success everyday. I am also attending school in the fall to start the process of becoming an LPN. I am nervous but it has always been my dream so i minswell start now.

I am a compassionate and caring individual. I have cared for elderly people in the past including my grandmother who had heart failure and my Father who battled cancer and passed in 2010. I understand the importance of companionship for everyone but especially for those who are ill or in recovery. I enjoy helping those in need and make it a point to help put a smile on their face as often as possible. As far as my background, For ten years I worked in a group home with individuals with various disabilities. My day consisted of taking them on day trips, dispensing medication, housekeeping, and meal preparation. I also have a bachelors degree in psychology with a minor in human services. I would describe myself as energetic, down to earth, reliable and ethical. I treat all individuals with the dignity and respect they deserve.
