There are many qualities that make one a great caregiver. My qualities are that I try to do my best when working with residents as well as trying to understand them. Aging out does not mean they do not have needs or that they should not be heard, I try to use critical thinking and make every resident as comfortable as possible so their needs are being met. I am an outgoing person I love to help others and exceed my job expectations, I am a carrying person who is easygoing and takes responsibilities as well as the needs of others seriously. I have a grandfather with dementia and this made me want to help others who need an assistant. I have seen the lack of caregivers there is for elders. I love caregiving because it allows me to have a better understanding of what goes on in others' life and I get to be part of people's life making a difference in assisting them or bringing them a smile. I am proud of the person I am and how far I have gotten with my psychology and social work bachelors that I am currently working on.

I am looking for a full time long term live-in position. I am drug free, only drink socially and do NOT do drugs. I will relocate myself upon hire. Here's my short list: I am a 62 year old semi-retired Respiratory Therapist. I have my own vehicles. I am very organized and have lots of experience caring for people. Excellent cook, housekeeper and home organizer. I currently cook, clean and do laundry for my client in addition to his personal care and companionship. My current position is live-in with room and board and $525 per week salary. I work for myself on a cash basis. I lately worked as a live-in caregiver for an 88 year old who recently went into hospice care and has passed away, I currently work as a live-in Resident Assistant at an Adult Family Group Home for developmentally disabled. Prior to that, I was a personal assistant/housekeeper/cook for Racine's Case High School Principal (Wisconsin), until he moved to CA for health issues. Prior to that I was live-in Housekeeper/cook for a professional gay couple in Trevor, WI. I have tons of experience with children, and have a 35 year medical background. Also interested in positions in Ashland County, OH 44805 area and will re-locate for the right position. Please be aware of State Laws regarding live-in domestic care givers hours for work. There are time off requirements. 24 hours a day 7 days per week is not an expectation you should have. It's demanding work and all caregivers need time to recharge. I am a very compassionate LPN. I have years of experience caring for the elderly in FL as well as in WI. I believe that I am using the gifts that God has given me to help others and to bring joy into peoples lives by being kind. My greatest achievement has been helping my mother care for my father who was in hospice in MA.

I consider myself to be very compassionate, caring and supportive as a person. I have good communication skills and I always carry a positive attitude. Caregiving is a huge personal accomplishment for. The ability to be very resourceful help people gives me joy. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I would say I am great care giver because I always put the well being of my client first, I am very old fashion, respectful, funny and alway exceptionally professional. I am always open to learn and a very fast learner at that. For me being a care giver helps to give back to the elderly and help to make their lives easier.

Hi my name is Marissa, I started caregiving after I graduated highschool. I was very close with my grandma. She was my world. She passed away in 2009, and I honestly did it there on out. Elderly are super important to me and need to be loved. I love knowing I can help a family in need when I know how tough it is to care for a parent or family member when you have your own life to live as well, I enjoy it and it could be a good career. It's rough sometimes, and I miss who I've cared for but it is the circle of life. Dementia Alzheimers med giving Bed bound patients Bed baths med giving feeding. Gtube feeding switching out bags and adminstiring pills through gtube. Companionship weekly I'd buy lunch and we'd play games puzzles etc walks outside or simply staying in watching the news. I have given insulin for diabetics also checking blood sugar catheter changes and new ones! I am very qualifed for many positions. I was also a personal assistant as well, computer work, errands, work emails business calls.

I am type one Diabetic! I have been a caregiver for going on 3 years! I worked at a Memory Care Home and am very familiar with Alzheimer's and Dementia and I absolutely loved working in memory care! I have a passion for what I do and create a care plan just right for my clients! Nothing feels better leaving your shift knowing you can provide the assistance and help someone in need! :)
