I have always loved people. when I got my first job at a skilled facility, it helped me to also understand how others depend on those who is there to care for them. I like being a caregiver not only because of the pay but u become someone's friend. my achievement was in a hospital when a gentleman was bought to our facility and he did not want to live. I would pass by his room and say hi even though I didn't get a hi back. one day I decided to go in and start conversation. he did want to talk or eat at that matter. but I let him know I was there as a friend not just a nurse. long story short, he only wanted me to care for him and he ate and got better, but he had cancer mind you. he ended up going home and he passed at home later on down the road....I am privileged to have had an opportunity in life like that one..i am a mother of 6 children. one daughter who is serving in U.S Navy. my others r married proud of them, and I have a son looking into Navy. I have 2 at home with my Husband and I. I am a grandma of 8. I luv my family. I am a Christian and believe for others who doubt themselves. I have counseled a few younger people who now call me mom...I am a very prompt person and I do learn fast if given the chance..

In my past experience as a caregiver, people have noted that I am compassionate, have an excellent attention to detail, use my knowledge and experience well, and that I try to improve and enhance the quality of life for clients. I am in the caregiving field because of the satisfaction that it gives me knowing that the person that I'm working with has received the best possible services that I can deliver, which in turn simply helps them. I also enjoy the interaction with friends and relatives, enacting the caregiving plan, and following it to a successful conclusion. I have also dealt with end-of-life issues that have required tact, discretion and understanding. I'm proud to be a CNA.

First of all, I want to say that hope every one is doing fine despite of the pandemic that's going on right now.I was a CNA and CHHA for about 20 years, then join the regestry ,until my friend recommended me to her client. I became a private Caregiver. I enjoy being a Caregiver for the reason that i love helping and taking care of Elderly and people with disabilities. My personal achievement is my self, because I always have a positive attitude, I'm helpful and always treat my clients and co-workers equally. I treat my clients as a family, that is maybe one of the reason why they love me too. I'm a single mom of 4,Being honest, trustworthy, reliable, dependable and always on time is the best weapon i have in life.I always make it sure when i leave my work everything is neat, clean, and tidy. I always make it sure too, that my clients are safe and happy about my service. I'm happy when my clients are happy when I'm around them.

I am a caregiver because being a caregiver is the most fulfilling job in the world. It is better to give back to the community and care for those around you. I became a Nursing Assistant in 2011 and have since been pursing my passion to become a Nurse. On October 2017 I finally graduated nursing school as an LVN, God is good! I want to start helping more people around my community and not just in the hospital. My goal is to keep my clients as clean, healthy, and happy as I can. Whether it be driving to appointments ,medication reminders, or even cooking; I'm able and willing to do anything. I hope that I can at least help and be of some relief to someone who is looking for respite.
