I've been a caregiver for 5 years now and it feels great,I became a caregiver after moving from Georgia back in 2009 , I didn't plan on staying there for long but after awhile I got use to the job and the best thing I love about my job is going to patients home not knowing who you going to deal with but at the end of the day my service to them is always appreciate and must of all putting a smile on the patients face and giving them the best care that they deserve is so important to me.
Caregiving for more than 18 years and still love what I do. I love providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing.
Im highly motivated, patient, trustworthy and full of empathy and compassion for my clients. I can handle pretty much any emergency situation and make the right decisions under stress. Im always trying to improve the clients conditions, if its cleaning or making scrapbooks for memorization. My priorities are my clients no matter what life throws at me.

I am a very loving and compassionate and patient person who enjoys the simple things in life and gets pleasure out of helping other people with these simple things we all can take for granted at times and this was my reason for getting into the medical field. I grew up with a sibling who was disabled since birth and completely dependent on other people including assistance with feedings, hygiene, and every day functions. Among my disabled sibling, within the past 5 years have also dealt with Alzheimer's as a grandparent of my mine is currently dealing with. I know that there are times not only the patient needs support of a caregiver, but so does their family. I enjoy seeing the satisfaction on people's faces when either the simplest of tasks is assisted with or some complicated tasks. I enjoy all age ranges from infants to the elder's and every age in between. I am a happy person who love's to laugh and love's to make other's laugh and smile and just simply enjoy life. This is a new area for me "professionally", however as stated previously, "personally" it was something I grew up doing and enjoying it very much! I do not believe any education or training can make you a great caregiver, it is something that is not taught but within a person's self. The education is a plus for those who have some medical needs, and I have a total of 5 years experience in an office setting of a family practice. My focus here is helping a family and patient enjoy life and ensuring the family is at ease knowing there loved one is in good hands. I care for my patients as if they were my own family, as that is what we all want for our loved ones.
I love the more personal, consistant contact where what you do makes such a big difference. I know that helping my parents during the last few months of their lives was such a joy; I'll never regret the time I spent with them. Also,I was able to work with their doctor since I had 8 years experience as a medical assistant. I also became friendly with the staff and other residents; we had such fun sitting outside in the summer months joking with each other. I am a committed and reliable person who loves working with people.
