Being able to empathize allows me to put myself in patient shoes, and identify and ease the patients fears and discomfort. Having passion for what I do allows me to be the best caregiver that I can possibly be. I love my job. I genuinely care for my patients and people who are in need. I'm constantly looking for ways to improve my job performance ultimately, to make the lives of each patient the best it can possibly be. Having traits such as honesty and trustworthiness are are indispensable qualities everyone should have. Especially when in the homes of others. There will be many hurdles along the way when caring for different patients. Having patience's and being flexible will allow me plenty of opportunities in the field of nursing.
Being honest and taking responsibility for my actions. Adaptability and compatibility; I get along with others. Drive and determination; I will strive help you keep going no matter what. Compassion and empathy; I can relate to others well. Patience; I will take all the time in the world if that is what's needed. Courage; I will do what's right in tough situations. I'm attracted to being a caregiver because I enjoy getting close with families and building a relationship with them to make their situation a little easier. If I can be there for someone I want to be there. Making memories are worth a lifetime. One piece of my life that I've always been proud of is back in elementary school when I helped this one student who had spina bifida, use a walker, and wheel chair most of the time. I was their to open doors, move chairs, get things when needed, or help them out when they were tired. Over time it was recognized then was nominated for the Service Above Self Awards.

Hi everyone I'm a all around "lover of people!" I throughly enjoying working with the elderly and making their day better. Knowing that I am able to help and make a difference is what I enjoy most about being a caregiver. I am in school to eventually be a nurse and feel this my passion; caring for people. I have a great sense of humor and enjoy trying to make other people laugh and look on the bright side!:) It reminds me to do the same myself. I am a very outgoing caring person. I have an AAS degree in human services technology I am currently a PCA .I truly enjoy helping other whether they are young or old .I have worked several years working with individuals with mental health issues and children with different social difficulties. My personal achievement that I'm most proud of is seeing some of the people whom I worked with performing and doing things that others said they were unable or do and they tell me that they were thankful for me being a part of their lives.
As long as I can remember, I have tried to help anyone in need. I think it's a true part of who I am. I have a compassionate heart and I care what others are feeling, needing and saying. I am passionate about people and their needs. I began as a babysitter when I was 14 years old. I am a mother of 6 children, three of which had special needs. In my early 30 s I began to volunteer for a widows group, where I learnt so much about the loneliness and the need for help in their homes and medical needs. I have always gravitated towards children, the hurting and the elderly, as experience has taught me to sympathize as well as empathize with each individual as a whole and I don't mind saying I often fall in love with each person I care for. People tell me that caring for others is just a job. To me, it's a life style. A true need, a necessity in a world that seems so cold. Caring for those that can not always help themselves, gives me a feeling of accomplishment and drives me to want to do more.
I believe in put God first in my life. I became a caregiver because I seem a great need for caregiver.I wanted to help people that need help with daily living activities and bright up a sad face, show some of God's love that has dwell in my life. I really love help people and being an extra hand when they need it. I seem how my mother were sick, I didn't know how to take care of her. I decide to go to school and be trained to be a good caregiver. I became a caregiver because I have a great compassion for people and believe in helping people who can't help themselves.
