I have been a cert. nursing asst. and caregiver for many years. I love helping people and this has allowed me to exercise good judgement in solving problems while maintaining the utmost level of professionalism. I currently stay in NC but have a resident in Ft. Washington, Md., and is willing to relocate!
I am a great caregiver/provider because I have compassion and patience for what I do. I love helping everyone out the best way I can. I am a team player and very social. I have been a Caregiver for the past 4 years and a Medication Technician for 2 years. I am also CPR certified. I just finished school for Medical Assisting and plan on going back to school for Practical Nursing. I came into this field because I felt like this was my calling. Helping others combined with the amazing world of healthcare/medicine.
I love caring for the elderly I have so much compassion and love to share with the patient and there families. It gives me so much pleasure to see them laugh and forget about there problems even if its only for that moment. I get joy when they feel like they can be comfortable with me and to gain there trust. I would like them to know I am their when ever they need me. It makes me proud to know when I am with the patient and the family member that they treat me as part of the family. I also remain close to them.
I honestly never saw myself as becoming a caregiver. I am very energetic but at the same time I have a very laid back personality. I am very easy to get along with and enjoy meeting and getting to know new people. Most people would say I have a lot patience but I just try to treat people as I would want them to treat me. Back in 2010 I made a decision to move back to Halifax County to be closer to my aging but very active and healthy parents. Not long after the move, we made the decision to allow my intellectually challenged older brother to move in with me. I eventually had to became more active with helping my dad as he started to have health problems and almost simultaneously, my brother's health began to decline. Unfortunately back in 2017, I lost both my dad and brother. Being able to help them with their doctor appointments, medicine and other responsibilities such as hygiene and bathing when it came to my brother, was hard work but an honor. So many people have so many responsibilities that they are not in a position to be a caregiver to their family members when in need. I can truly say from experience it is very rewarding duty. It would be fair to say my experience with my family attracted me to becoming a caregiver. Since, the passing of my brother and father I help my mother out a great deal and having been working with individuals who are intellectually challenged, autistic and deal with various health issues. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the opportunity to treat and assist a person in need with dignity. This many times is not how we hear people are treated. So the chance to treat someone who may just need a little help or a lot, with dignity and respect is an opportunity and privilege for me. Everyone is someone's mother, father, sister, brother, daughter or son. Being able to help my father remain mostly independent in his final years is probably my greatest achievement and honor.
I am a great caregiver because I am compassionate , kind and love what I do. I have been a caregiver for the last 20 years. My mother motivated me to get in this field ,as she had been diagnosed with lung cancer at the age of 65. Unfortunately she passed away at 67 , which will be 20 years this October. I love working with the elderly. I have had some great experiences through the years of my career. Looking forward to many more. I am now in school on line to get my Associate of Science degree in Allied health.
I am a former pediatric bone marrow transplant critical care nurse of 8 years, and decided to take a leave of absence to stay home with my children. Terminally ill children are quite often just as fragile and require the emotional support very similar to seniors. My nursing passion has brought me back to the nature of caring for patients and their families, without having to meet the fluctuating demands of beside nursing. I have been an in-home caregiver for 2 years, with a wide range of experience and circumstances. I love nurturing my patients just as I would my own family, and hope to meet YOU soon!

I became a caregiver once my grandfather got sick with cancer. I was 14 at the time and I really enjoyed helping him eat,get dressed, and take baths once to got where he could not do it himself. I like being a caregiver because I have always loved helping and motivating people who need it. It is a good feeling when you can work with a person and try your best to encourage them to keep on living and do things while they can. I have always enjoyed working with the elderly. Being able to help them achieve their daily basic needs is one of the best feelings in the world. I am a single mother of a 14 year old son. He motivates me to be the best parent that I can be. Working hard and continuing my education is the best way to do this. I'm currently in school online working on my Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Ethics. I am attending Mid American Christian University. One of my personal achievements was obtaining my Certificate in Nursing and of course being a mother to my son. I am looking for a job where I can use all of my nursing skills that I have obtained throughout the course of these years.
I love working with people and I have cared for family members with many medical needs. I worked in geriatrics before I started my own family, and now that my children are more independent I am looking to work part time while I pursue a nursing degree. I have a current Nurses Aide license and and I am on the North Carolina registry, in good standing. I would love to find a caregiving job that is fulfilling for both the patient and myself. I feel that I am a good fit for helping a family manage a loved ones daily care. I am very detailed and like to maintain a high standard of care.
I am a caregiver because I am compassionate about people whether or not they are clients or patients. I enjoy meeting and being around people of all walks of life. Making others well is a personal drive for me and I continue everyday to learn more about how to achieve this more efficiently and effectively without losing the ability to be sympathetic to their needs.
Hi, my name is Kayla. I'm 24. I'm married with a beautiful little girl who is 11months old. I recently moved to North Carolina from Pennsylvania so my husband could teach. I used to work for Caritas Christi at their mother house taking care of the retired Sisters. I loved working there and caring for the sisters. They were near and dear to my heart and I had a really great relationship with them but I quit to move and start a family. I am a kind, caring, nurturing, patient, fun, loving, motivated hard working person. I feel as though my calling in life is to take care of people because that's what I'm best at. I care for people as if they are my own family.
I know I am a great caregiver because I love working with people. I love the wisdom that the seniors have. I learn a lot from them. I chose this career because it takes a great heart to work in the healthcare field, and I know I have one of the best hearts out here. I have a couple of achievements that I am proud of like graduating from high school, graduating from school and completing a nurse aide program, and now I am currently in school to receive my Medical Assistant degree, which I recently was recognized in the Dean's List. I have so many goals that I want to complete in my life and I am going to do it. I am 26 years old, no kids, I love my family, I can be shy at first, but I'm a very outgoing person.
