I got into caregiving on accident. I was looking for employment and a friends suggested I apply at her job which was Alzheimer's assistant living. I got the job and realized I loved it! I became state tested and have been in this line of business for 14 years. I love taking care of people who can't fully take care of themselves. There is pride in helping others and I am humble that God chose me to be the voice and care taker for some who can't express their needs and others who just need help along the way. I am proudest of accomplishing my PCA II which is a promotion from PCA acknowledging I am proficient in my level of expertise and care. I am also a safety coach and a proud member of the safe patient handling committee at my current employer that looks at proper ergonomics and equipment that keep both the patient and caregivers safe and free from injury. I do not have a car but I do use Lyft and Uber to travel if that's okay.

I am currently a master of social work student with a concentration in healthcare. I have over 10 years experience in healthcare in hospitals, rehabs, long term care , and in home care. I am CPR BLS and First Aid Trained. I have experience working with complex disorders such as alzhiemers, dementia, epilepsy and autism.

I am 29 years old I have been in healthcare for 11 years. I am great with the elderly, I adapt well in any situation. I have a great sense of humor but also balanced by responsibility and maturity. I love the internal reward of helping those in need with the understanding that I may be in the same position one day. I am most proud of the personal growth that being a caregiver has brought me.

I am an State Tested Nursing Assistant. I want to serve people, that is why I choose being an aide. I help people who need help and I love my job. I am an hard worker and always ready to help.

I am a great caregiver because caring comes from the heart and everything I do, I do with my heart. I became a caregiver in 2004 to assist my great-grandmother after a fall in her home. I love hearing people tell me they are happy I am there with them, thank you and we need more people like me. All those things warm my heart. I am proud of everything I have done so far in life. Each thing has brought me to become the woman I am today and help grow the heart I have to love even more of why I get up daily to assist people I keeping their independence or promoting them to be their best self.

I enjoy utilizing my clinical skills that reflects my passion for making a difference in the lives of others providing proficient patient care. I have 9yrs combined point of care skills including long term, rehab, acute care, psych, memory care, and home health, palliative care and hospital setting.

what makes me a great care giver is I genuinely care about the person I am caring for like a family member I'm patient and caring, listening to their every need, understanding their likes and dislikes making sure they get the best care, I want them to smile when they see me coming in the door and be happy I'm there. I love the repore I have with the elderly I can always get a smile or a laugh while give exceptional care, I've always felt if it wasn't for the elderly my generation and others wouldn't be here to carry on the love of caring and teaching others as they instilled in us many yrs ago. my personal achievement I'm proud of is I received the Heart of the house Award from the ombudsman and the residents at my current work place, this made me very proud of what I do because all I was doing was my job what I love.

I'm a newly graduated from Northmont High schools I was involve in peer facilitation that deals with behavior acts between humans also teaching on drug abuse, alcohol abuse,mental health and etc. Also was top lead for S.A.D.D (students against district is decisions ) the program was mainly about safe driving and positive actions. Love animals my favorite thing to do on my free time is visiting the aquarium, canoeing , hiking ,fishing,etc.
