Hello! What I love most about being a caregiver/CNA is being able to be a shoulder for those who do not have anyone. I love helping those who need it most or being there for those who aren't able to care for themselves and are seeking long-term care. I've been taking care of those I care about since I was 11 so being a caretaker comes naturally. I have more than 6 years of experience and I understand the importance of following the care plan. My first client was my Mom and although she left me early she was my motivation for wanting to be a Nurse/Caregiver. I really enjoy seeing the smiles on the faces of the lives I've changed or made an impact on. I am a mother so I do understand the importance of paying attention to details and communication. Hello, First I'd like to share a few things about my experiences as a CNA/caregiver. I have always been a nurturing person first as a child and continuing through adulthood, It brings me great pleasure to help everyone I can. I started my career in 1993 by attending a State licensed class and being state certified to work as such. I have continued my education for 28 years now and I am told I bring great skill set to many homes and individuals. I have worked as a CNA in Hospitals, Home Health, Physical Rehabilitation Centers, Nursing Homes and Private Duty Requests. I enjoy them all. I've worked with Hospice,Alzheimer's, dementia, diabetes, strokes, obesity, bed bound clients such a paraplegic and quadriplegic, ALS clients, PTSD clients, schizophrenia clients, post surgical and more. I offer help with ADLs, showers, bed baths, exercise, meal preparation, vital sign checks, medication reminders, doctor appointments, and more.

I am a devout Christian. Caregiving is my passion. I have been a Nurse/Caregiver for 30+ years. Though currently licensed as a CNA, I am only 8 credits away from an R.N. degree, though not currently enrolled in school. I have contributed to a successful nursing facility through excellent/professional care, referrals and word of mouth. And that, I am proud of! Due to having a burden for people, I am always compelled to help those in need. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, I have always assisted children and elderly, the like. I was a Therapeutic Foster Parent for 8 years, having had the toughest cases to meet me at my doorstep. However, the challenges brought sweet rewards. I originally became a Caregiver when I assisted my mother with activities of daily living for mentally challenged, teenaged boys. It was so natural for me, that I immediately knew, this was my calling. I do my very best to meet all the needs of each individual, thereby, going above and beyond the call of duty. I am very passionate about serving others, and even randomly assist my sister, who has MS, when she visits TX. Hello I'm Doris single mother of 3 lovely girls. I've been in the healthcare field for about 16 years I started off in home healthcare went on to get my Medical Assistant Degree in 2008. Afterwards I worked in multiple Doctors offices. Until I got my Cna degree in 2015 where I went on to work in the hospital on the acute Med Surge floor for about 6 months and left to do phlebotomy. Now I'm back doing home health care. I think that that I would be a great caregiver because I have always had a caring heart, I've always love to help people and make them feel better. I really don't know what attracted me to being a caregiver I've just always love being around older people and helping them and being there for them when they need it the most. I love sitting and talking to older people hearing their stories and the wisdom that they bring. I am a proud mother, I am also proud to have a caring heart even though it gets hurt sometimes. I'm proud that I am so full of joy and compassion because it helps me to help people around me and people that I meet. I am fully vaccinated.
