Hello All. I believe that as humans, we are here to help each other be the best versions of ourselves possible, no matter what stage of life we may be living. As a Registered Nurse, I take pride in advocating and educating people in how to maintain a healthy lifestyle in the ways that individually suit them best. I provide non-judgmental, holistic, compassionate care, where respect, communication, and authenticity is always present and a priority. I have been an Emergency Room nurse for 7 years, but have been providing caregiving services for over 15 years. I have worked as a CNA, LPN, First Responder/EMS, as well as RN. I have a wide range of skills, and healthcare knowledge/specialties. I like to call myself "a jack of all trades", "creative solutionist", and I find quality compassionate care to be my true passion in life. I also take personal pride in staying up to date with current healthcare trends, new studies, and interventions for progressive care plans. With that being said, no care needed or provided is "too little" or "too much". Please do not hesitate to reach out to me to discuss details, questions, or rates. Thank you for reading. Be well.
I feel worthwhile and that I am making a difference. Before I started college I worked in daycare.I received a lot of joy helping the children to overcome obstacles. I graduated from the University of Texas and received my BSN. I worked at St. Lukes in the ICU's. I took care of clients with all kinds of problems.I also worked on the transplant unit at ST. Luke's. I transferred to M,D. Anderson Hospital where I was the evening charge nurse. Our clients had a variety of cancers. After 18 months I transferred to a private oncology office. I dealt with newly diagnosed patients.I taught them about their disease, I mixed and administered chemotherapy. The doctors I worked for were also hematologist. We treated a number of AIDS patients.I worked extensively with the families. When the patients disease was no longer treatable I Placed them on Hospice. My children were young and I decided to stay home with them. I eventually went back to school and became a Texas Certified teacher. I was certified to teach grades 4-8th and special education. I taught in public schools and started tutoring privately. I then started to take care of clients that needed my help physically.
As a registered nurse working in the ICU hospital setting I provide nursing care to help heal those in need. This care involves providing physical care, mental care and emotional care. What many people do not know is that the latter two affect someone's health as much as their physical health does. I believe I would be a good caregiver because I love to serve others and better the lives of others in caring for all three aspects of a person's health.
