Hello families, I am a respectful kind hearted and driven 25 year old. I've been a CNA for nearly 6 yrs now, and with every resident I meet I love the job a little more and more. Starting off in a nursing home really pushed me as an aid, things weren't always easy peasy sometime I had as little as 7 resident but also in some other times like when tragedy like hurricane, and tornado watches forced shut down on our building I can honestly say a friend of mine and I completed a whole entire wing alone just the two of us. In living and working all the situations I've achieved I really grown to love what I do for my resident keep them safe, and cared for with the help of everything I've learned over these years. If I had to say what attracted me to this job it would absolutely have to be the women in my family my grandmother who worked almost 20 yrs in the same build I work for 5 yrs also my mother with 8 yrs under her belt as a CNA I remember as a child waiting in the employees lounge for my mother to get off work they inspired me to push myself to care for someone besides myself. What I enjoy most would have to be meeting the families it gives you a much better since on how your residents moves and with dementia also in the mix a lot with some residents hearing their families names being brought up in conversation with them let's them know you better remember you more. If I had to reassure anyone just know I'm a professional, I've dealt with may things in my career as a CNA and even if I come across something I'm not to familiar with I will conquer and learn like I have for year now.
