I decided to become a caregiver through my own personal experiences. I have a passion to help and care for others and I chose to get in to the medical field for this very reason. From the time I was a small child I watched my aunt take care of my cousin who was born with Cerebral Palsy and needed constant care. My aunt even went to school and got her RN license just to stay home with my cousin and take care of her. She inspired me in so many ways. Its very hard work but at the end of the day when you are tired and done and they are smiling and happy it is all worth it. Today it is very hard to find good caregivers. I sadly have had first hand experience with this. My grandfather passed away due to negligence with poor care. I put my heart and soul in to everything I do with my patients because to me they are not just patients they are human beings who no matter what condition they are in deserve good care and attention like you would give to your own family, they become apart of your family. I want to make a difference, to be the reason people can entrust in the healthcare system again and that is why I will always do my best and above and beyond that when it comes to care giving. I believe this shows in the work I have done in the medical field since I have been out of school. I graduated with honors from medical school with 3 certifications and went on to work in the field where I put my all in to everything I did. I loved all of my patients and all of my patients loved me. ... more
