Hi! I'm Amanda, a former Technical Project Manager turned certified End-of-Life Doula and frequent Elder Companion volunteer. I left my cushy tech job in early 2024 to pursue caregiving full-time during the final days of my grandmother's life. Spending time with both her and my grandfather at the end of their lives, I noticed a big gap in their care: medical caretakers simply do not have the time or bandwidth to provide emotional support or companionship, which can be crucial in someone's final days. I became an End-of-Life Doula so that I could learn how to best support people at the end of their lives and older adults in general. My goal is to make my clients feel seen, heard, respected, and loved. I believe that I have tons to learn from my clients too, if they're willing to share the lessons they've learned along the way. I live on the Upper West Side with my husband and our 2 dogs (who would love to see you, if you'd like!).
