I chose to be a caregiver because of my experience looking after my parents who have suffered heart attacks and strokes. I have also worked multiple careers primarily based on providing care and comfort to others. At the age of 34 I spent 5 years as a nanny to 3 different families. I was required to drive the children to and from school, make them breakfast and dinner, and provide overall care until their parents returned home. I then spent 10 years as an American Airlines flight attendant. My tasks included ensuring the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of each passenger. This would be done through multiple check ups, and constantly asking the passengers if they wanted anything, like food or beverages. My compassion for people has lead me to choosing a career in care giving. I genuinely love people and life and look on the bright side of things.
