I am an Elder Assistant for older people who no longer drive themselves. I stay while the children they live with are at work or doing errands. The elders usually have dementia, alzheimer's or need help physically. We have conversations, take walks, do puzzles, and play cards and games. When I stay with elders for days or weeks while their people are on vacations or trips, we have a vacation too, and do everything on the elders 'bucket list'. I cook what they like to eat, or we eat in their favorite restaurants. We go to see the movie of their choice, or spend an hour in the drug store, or go to the beach, or sit somewhere and look at the river. Whatever they want to do, we do. I try to work in everything they want to do before their people return. They get to call the shots, and they love it. I, also, travel with elders that no longer drive. I take them to funerals, or reunions, or family gatherings. Sometimes we just take a trip or cruise. Usually their families have their own lives and work, and can't always take off to take them places they'd like to go. We plan the travel so it's at their pace, & eat and stay wherever they are comfortable. Accommodations are separate with males. I charge a daily rate of $150.00 per day plus all expenses and mileage. When an elder is with me, they quickly realize it's going to be a fun situation. Most of my clients live in Harbour Isle East or West. I live in Harbour Isle West. I do take trips with clients and stay for "live in periods" outside Harbour Isle.

I have worked with many home care agencies. I like that they follow up with all clients and caregiver to make sure we are all compatible and happy. I love meeting new people and providing caregiving services that they can no longer do for themselves. My passion is to help people.I love helping people, I just enjoy it .I feel blessed everytime I help someone. I also enjoy the opportunity to impact clients lives and make a difference to them.
