I recognize that this section is about 'blowing one's horn', but that's not me. It is with great humility and a true sense of wonderment that wherever I go, people feel/assume/think they 'know' me. Throughout my life I have been comfortable with folks of all walks. When one speaks of a 'good fit', I try to put myself in the shoes of the client. We all have our pride, and the aging process can be very cruel. I have been blessed so far with good health and mental wealth, but I fully understand that this 'gift' is of a temporal nature. I enjoy every day of my life and try to convince even those of fading hope to find joy in living.

I joined Home Instead when they first opened a franchise in Gainesville, FL...I had been working full-time as caregiver for a Gnsvl resident in 2003, who died. I joined Home Instead as a Caregiver, as I had let both my CNA and HHA licenses, earned in 1993 and 1994 in Naples, FL, lapse when I became employed as an executive secretary and worked full-time for several years in the world of business. I moved to Gainesville to enable my daughter to get her Masters' Degree. I have worked part-time in my senior community for the past 5 years, as companion, adult sitter. In 2014 I returned to Home Instead as a 'substitute', on-call person, as I wished to be able to enjoy some retirement after the death of my significant other, for whom I had been caring. As a CNA I had worked in Naples part-time for a doctor-owned agency (name escapes me) and worked full-time for a world-renowned publisher of art books. Before motherhood, I taught English at Westboro High School, JFK Junior High School, Westboro Junior HIgh School - all In MA.
