Hello :) My name is Laura and I am here because I am a compassionate and caring person who is looking for fulfilling work. I have 2+ years of experience as a medical technician in an orthopaedic setting and so I have knowledge of wound care, post surgical care and assisting the elderly. I consider myself to be a humble and truly caring person. I enjoy hearing stories and learning from patients, I have met some wonderful people and always enjoy getting to know patients and their stories if they are up for talking. I was drawn to seeking employment as a caregiver because I think that it's very important, if not just as important as the medical aspect, to be kind, patient, understanding and helping when caring for others. I think this plays a huge role in a patient's care and in their recovery and/or maintenance. I am proud of myself for continuing my education, being a full time student and a full time employee.
