I have practiced this rule since I have started my home health career 30 years ago. I cared for my grand father Robert Dale Sands at the age of 16 years old he got colon cancer. I cared for him after school up until he passed away 3 months after the doctors said he'd last. I enjoyed the smiles that I brought him when he'd see me after school. That smile changed my life, I was hooked I knew my calling that was to care for the clients as family. I attend to the clients Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Which include but are not limited to Bathing, Medication Assist, Cooking, and driving to shopping as well as assisting within the community. I treat all my clients like family because if I cared for them and I thought about a paycheck the clients would not get the care they duly deserve. Thank You Bruce Sands, Jr.
