What sets me apart from other caregivers is my actual need and desire to just be of service to others. It's not all about a paycheck for me..sure I have bills and responsibilities but it an actual feeling of self accomplishment knowing that I provided care for someone and it wasn't just about a dollar. I actually care..in this field sure it's great money but you have to actually have a heart for people. I've always been a call center/ office type of girl..Oneday after visiting a plasma center, and being offered a job I think it was something about putting on a pair of scrubs that awakened my true passion for peopl. I first started out doing companionship, then a few months later after falling in love with my new career I decided to try Home Health aide and absolutely loved loved it!! A year later I decided to go to school to become a CNA..AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!. My last day of school I was given a job offer at a private hospital working as a CNA..how awesome right?? I know..that was this last February..I'm now thinking of furthering my career to become an LPN..
