I am 23 years old, and from the age of 12 I have been a caregiver. I have taken care of all my nieces and nephews. I attended a charter school when I was 15 and my career choice was LPN of course. From high school I graduated with my HHA, EKG and I've also obtain my CNA license. I couldn't think of anything else I'd rather do, I love caring for people. I suppose I thought that I would change my mind when I graduated high school but that didn't happen. When my father got in this terrible accident and nearly lost his life, me and my sisters took care of him, and since I was the only daughter living with him I did majority of the work. Caring for my father and helping him get better made me happy. I didn't necessarily save a life but I nursed one back to health. As of now I am attending Barry University to learn how to save a life and be the best nurse that i can possibly be, because my passion is to help others. My biggest accomplishment to me would be surviving life, making the best out of it and getting this far.

I then attended a Medical Specialty High School and was involved in volunteering at local Adult Day Cares. When I was about 15 years of age my grandmother started developing Dementia and shortly after had a stroke. I became her main caregiver; cooking, cleaning, reading to her when not in school.
