I became a caregiver 9 years ago in Tucson, AZ. I loved the field of profession and feel it is my calling. Upon our moving to Naples, FL., I became a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). What I love about being a caregiver, is that through my compassion, enthusiasm, and care, I am able to give 100% of my abilities to my patient. The most personal achievement I am very proud of is that I had a client whom I worked with 5 days a week, for over a year and half. I have extensive experience with clients with a variety of age and need. I was with my last client for 2 years. I have worked with clients who had Dementia, Alzheimer’s, post plastic surgery and post rehabilitation. I offer at-home care whereby your loved one does NOT need to be in a facility away from their loved ones. I am honest, reliable, punctual, flexible, caring, loving and funny (I’ve been told by clients). I always go above and beyond what is expected of e. I am an amazing cook (also a compliment received from previous clients). When taking care of a client, I assist him/her with all activities of daily living: companionship, bathing, toileting ambulating, post-rehabilitation exercises, memory-enhancing games, light household cleaning, fun activities such as paying with a beach ball, cards, tic tack toe, hangman or any other games. I will read to clients and watch movies of their choice. I will cook for guests, as needed, if the client desires to have his/her family and friends over. This allows the client to still have control of running the household. I will also do errands with the client, such as shopping, dining out or going to doctor’s appointments. I am willing to travel with the client if necessary.
