About Nancy

Hi! I am Nancy and have just recently moved back to Naples! I am looking for my next Senior to care for and love. Before I became a full time caregiver, I was a Postmaster and worked at a retirement community. It was there that I came to realize how much I love our Seniors! Five years ago, I left the job I loved so much to care for my sister, who suffers from brain cancer. For the next three years, I managed their household, hired additional caregivers as her needs increased, renovated their home, cooked, cleaned, shopped, managed meds, fed and bathed her, etc. After assuring she was in great hands, I moved to CO to be near my grand kids. While there, I had three wonderful care giving jobs! The last one was a necessary live in position with a wonderful woman I love. After nine months, she was well again, so it was time for me to get back to the sun and water. I have had a background check on another caregiving site, and will be requesting one here as well. Most importantly, I am an honest, dependable, loving, flexible and trustworthy caregiver just looking for my next Senior to love and care for!

Experience & Education

Caregiver/Household Manager

Mar 2016 - Nov 2016
Jaci Howard
My client was very ill with multiple illnesses including malnutrition, lack of mobility, COPD, liver disease, and diabetes to name a few. Although this position was supposed to be part time, her needs were so severe that it required live in care. In addition to caring for her, which included medication management and transportation to all Dr. appointments, I totally was responsible for every aspect in managing her home. I did all of the shopping, cooking, cleaning, bill paying, laundry, etc. It is with great pride that I can say I left that position because Jaci made a total and complete recovery. She now is able to not only care for herself...she babysits for her grandson! To this day, she is one of my best friends.

I left my position at Vi at Bentley Village to care for my sister, who is a nineteen year survivor of a glioblastoma cerebri. This disease has robbed her of many things. Most notably, her mobility, short term memory, and vision. With my knowledge and experience, I was able to improve her quality of life. This included overseeing necessary renovations for her safety, hiring, training and scheduling of additional caregivers, managing their household, and medication management.

My client families describe me as having positive optimistic outlook, with a big smile and sunny disposition. They also describe me as patient and kind and good at problem solving. My clients with dementia were always happy to see me -recognizing me as a friend even when they resisted the help of others . I am attracted to care giving as a way to stay active while working and contribute to a person's quality of life. My greatest reward is my clients smile and knowing that I have helped make that happen.
