I came into the healthcare field over 20 years ago when my father became ill. I started out in medical records, I worked in several acute care facilities. In 2007 my husband had a heart attack, his health did a downward spiral. I stopped working to care for him. I also had a niece that I raised that suffered from sickle cell disease. My mom was later diagnosed with Diabetes. Over the past year I lost 2 aunts to breast cancer and my niece lost her battle with sickle cell disease. Caring for my family allowed me see that I have a passion for caring for people.
