Therapeutic Services entailed creating and maintaining group therapy, individual therapy, occupational, recreational, substance abuse, crisis intervention for a daily census consisting of 44 patients on a lockdown psychiatric unit. Education daily varying from substance abuse, medication management/compliance, daily crisis aversion, and managing severe psychotic episodes on a case by case, but always daily basis. Keeping patient's attention for therapies meant constant change to keep interest level, creativity was always necessary. Implementing theories for education as well as the necessity of safety was paramount. Attention to detail and extreme vigilance to patient care and safety is paramount and exercised always. NO exceptions
