I became a caregiver because I genuinely care about the wellbeing of others. I enjoy being a caregiver because I think people should help one another, and do whatever it takes to help others succeed. A personal achievement of mines is raising three children on my own. Also re certifying as an CNA to continue my career and set an example for my three daughters. I am ready to join the workforce once again and relish any opportunity that may come my way.

My mom worked as a nurse at a nursing home for the past 30 years and in high school I had an opportunity to do my community service hours at the nursing home and once I was finished with my hours, they wanted me to stay and I loved helping so much, I decided to work as an intern. For a total of 3 years on a daily basis, I would work and sit with my alzheiemer's patients(read, crotchet, share stories, take them on walks) in the morning, then in the afternoon I would work with the activities department, help decorate and put on events at the nursing home. Once they found out that I could play the piano and sing, I did that often in the afternoons during activity time. My passion is to help others and I get so much fulfillment out of doing so, I started teaching piano at the nursing home to those that were able and willing to learn. I currently work with the youth ministry at my church and there I teach dance and American Sign Language, As well as direct the youth choir. I have a vibrant 6yr old daughter that keeps me on my toes and keeps me going. It is my job and duty to show her that winners never quit and when we do anything we put are all into it and willingly give from our heart. Recently I had the opportunity to take care of my Aunt who still wanted to live independently but needed some day to day assistance, and she asked me to help her. It was rewarding to see how just by doing the simple things like making her a meal, or talking to her made her smile, and that's what I
