Hello, my name is Lisa I am 45years old and have been a caregiver for a little over 14 years. I am a licensed nurse and certified CNA as well. I am truly compassionate in my duties. I became a caregiver after my grandmother passed away. She was placed in a facility and wasnt getting the care she needed so I spent the last 3 months taking care of her. I understand the importance to have someone who is reliable and understanding someone's needs. My biggest accomplishment so far is graduating college in 2017 with my bachelor's of health services administration which allows me to continue to grow in health care. I am flexible and understand that schedules change based on the clients needs. Rate is negotiable

I am empathetic, compassionate, nurturing, attentive, dependable, committed, organized, happy, patient, honest, industrious, quiet, energetic, conscientious, clean and kind. As a child, I was always in the company of older folks in my community - so much so, that when I was 17 years old I took care of a 76 years old family friend on the weekends for 3 months while still in high school. I was always running to assist them when the need arises. The elderly comes first for me all the times. I was a volunteer at my church's Assisted Living Facility for 5 years, helping the residents with grooming, dressing, feeding, exercises and just general companionship - chatting and making them happy and joyful. I just have this natural passion and respect for them and humanity in general. I enjoy the satisfaction that engulfs me when I perform a task that they might feel a little embarrassed about but, because of the manner in which it was done, (privacy, respect) they just looked at me and say thank you so much, Joan or just smile confirming satisfaction. I also feel ecstatic and encouraged when family members and friends use words like - "Joan, you are the best" "you are a God-send", "you are special", "Joan, I could never do what you do". and you do your work with such professionalism. I am very proud that, through hard work and commitment to serve , I have gained the trust and respect of all seniors I have met and cared for.
