I have a passion for helping and giving. I am very sympathetic and empathetic. I was attracted to being a caregiver when I was growing up until my grown age. My mom was a foster parent for 30 years. I also helped care for grandparents that lived till they were 81 and 94 of age. I also recently cared for my dad 64 of age that deceased on this year. I now have 1 grandparent alive that is 95. I just love being apart of a lifetime journey of wisdom. I love that it gives me patients and the unconditional love that I wish could go around the world. I enjoy making people feel happy and loved. I am proud of being there with my dad as conservator and guardian while he was incapacitated from a major stroke. It meant the world to me knowing that at some point he was going to leave me because of his condition. He was my best friend and would of traded everything to keep him here. I also received my Associates Degree in Health and Human Services with honors through all the ups and downs. I am truly proud of myself.

I love to interact with my clients by communicating with them asking about what they like/don't like, listening to them and sharing my stories with them as well. What led me to being a caregiver was my granny. I watched my mom and aunt take care of her when she couldn't take care of herself. God gives each one of us a gift and caring for others is mine. I have received so much wisdom from the elderly that I actually apply it to my day to day life. I mostly enjoy the one on one time. Talking to people about life it self or just being a listening ear can do so much. A simple hug can heal a womb. The attention that they need and them knowing that they are not alone. I had a client that lost both parents. Her father was in the military therefore they moved around a lot. She was the only child. Her dad purchased her a horse and she had that horse for many years. The time had come that she could no longer take the horse with her when they moved the final time. It hurt her so bad and was very hard for her to accept. When I started working with her all she ever talked about was her horse and showed me pictures. On her birthday I decided that I wanted to surprise her with a special gift. I found a stable and took her there for her birthday. She was so happy. The expression on her face let me know that I did my job. As long as my clients are happy, I'm happy. I was taught to treat people with respect and treat people the way I want to be treated.
