I am an excellent Caregiver because I make it my priority to get to know my patient's needs, to offer them a better quality of life. I dote on making my patient's environment, one full of laughter and memorable experiences. The fact that a patient is confined to a bed or a chair, does not mean that there soul and heart has to be confined. I had a geriatric patient that was bedridden and I can say that I helped him to smile though his body ached. As I helped him through his sickness physically, I helped more to transition emotionally. I am a health professional, that decided to become a nurse after a trip to Honduras. Nursing is my passion, its in my blood! There is no better feeling than that of helping others.
