I became a caregiver because of my grandmother. When I was in high school, she became gravely ill and needed care. I watched the caregivers take care of her for a month, but I felt like no one can care for her with the compassion that I had for her. I had her hospital bed put into my bedroom and I took care of her until her death. Being a caregiver is rewarding for me. Just to put a smile on the patients face, or giving them and their family a relieving feeling of knowing they are in good hands is a goal of mine. I am a loving, caring, empathetic, sincere person. My personality is heightened when I'm with my patients.
